Rooted in 45 years of excellence in dance training, Studio J Dance Collective has evolved from the renowned The Dance Spot, an iconic Fullerton-based studio that shaped the careers of many dancers for over four decades.
Now the team at Studio J continues to build on that legacy by offering a fresh and exciting approach to dance education for all ages and skill levels.

At Studio J, we are more than just another dance studio; we are a community. Our mission is to create a space where dancers can grow, form lasting relationships, and excel in a variety of dance styles. Whether you're a toddler discovering dance for the first time or an adult looking to stay active and learn something new, we provide a welcoming environment for everyone.

Our qualified instructors work hand-in-hand with experienced master teachers to ensure each student receives exceptional training, fostering not only technical skill but also confidence and creativity. From competitive dancers to those looking for a fun, recreational outlet, we offer a wide range of classes tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students.

 Studio J Dance Collective is led by Jesse Sober, a seasoned dancer, instructor, and judge with over 30 years of experience in the dance industry. With a passion for technique and education, Jesse brings years of expertise and dedication to this new chapter, building a studio that upholds the high standards of training that The Dance Spot was known for, while pushing the boundaries of what a dance studio can be.

  • Jesse has been dancing and competing for over 30 years, specializing in jazz technique. Throughout her career, she has earned multiple regional and national titles, both individually and with her students. Her experience has taken her across the world—from Tokyo to Puerto Vallarta, and various cities in the U.S.—where she has had the privilege of judging and leading master classes. In 2012, she proudly competed with Team USA at the ICU World Championships, bringing home Gold in both Pom and Jazz. In 2007, Jesse was part of the first team to win Gold in both Jazz and Hip Hop at UDA College Nationals.

    Her competitive journey includes many international, national, and regional titles, including four consecutive Gold medals in International Jazz at The Dance Worlds.

    Jesse has deep ties to Fullerton, California, where she started her dance journey as a teacher's assistant at the age of 13. She is now a full-time competition teacher, choreographer, and jazz instructor, working with award-winning teams. Jesse is also the founder and owner of Studio J Dance Collective, where she is dedicated to creating an environment where dancers of all levels can thrive. Her mission at Studio J is to foster growth, build community, and prepare dancers for success in the competitive dance world, all while ensuring the highest standards of technique and performance.

Karen Siler
Instructor

  • Karen Siler is a dynamic performer with a rich background in dance and entertainment. Personally trained by the renowned Miss Marci, Karen studied ballet, tap, and jazz for nearly 15 years—competing regularly and earning top honors throughout her youth. Her passion for performance led her to the stages of Disneyland California and Disneyland Paris, where she danced in numerous parades and live productions as a featured performer.

    She currently stars as Foofa in Yo Gabba Gabba on Apple TV and in live shows across the country, captivating audiences with her vibrant energy, charisma, and dedication to her craft.

Tiffany Ross
Instructor

  • With over 28 years of teaching experience, Tiffany specializes in jazz, tap, ballet, and competitive dance. She has been dancing since the age of two and have performed in musicals and many competitions throughout her career. Her passion lies in helping dancers grow both technically and artistically, whether in the studio or on the stage.

Eileen Hsing
Instructor

  • Eileen is a passionate dancer and educator, starting her dance training at The Dance Spot at the age of five. She continued her passion for performance and leadership, serving as co-captain for her high school dance team and later directing a competitive collegiate hip-hop team known as CADC. She furthered her education in technique and dance theory at the University of California Irvine, where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in dance. Eileen is committed to fostering a supportive and challenging environment where students can flourish as artists!

Sarah Sporn
Instructor

  • Sarah Sporn has been dancing for nearly 20 years, growing up in the vibrant dance community of Fullerton, CA. She has trained, performed, and choreographed in a wide range of styles including jazz, tap, contemporary, modern, lyrical, musical theatre, and ballet. Sarah earned her Bachelor's degree in Dance and Communication from Santa Clara University, where she developed both her technical foundation and artistic voice.

    In addition to teaching dance, Sarah is currently pursuing her teaching credential to become a high school dance teacher. In her downtime, she also performs professionally in theatre productions across Orange County.

    Sarah is thrilled to be working with the Studio J team this season and is passionate about sharing the joy and creativity of dance with her students and the community.

Hannah Natoniewski
Instructor

  • Hannah trained at The Dance Spot for over 12 years as a competitive dancer. She was a Varsity Game day & Competitive Songleader throughout high school. Miss Hannah is currently a student at Orange Coast College studying Business Economics.

Summer Siddiqui
Instructor/ Office

  • Summer trained for 11 years at The Dance Spot and developed a strong foundation in various dance styles. She also graduated as captain of Troy High School's competitive dance team where she choreographed, cleaned routines, and led the team to national titles. Currently, she studies Civil Engineering as a full-time student at Cal State University Fullerton while continuing to share her love of dance through teaching younger dancers!
